Emily Beck Cogburn is a fiction writer based in Louisiana. She has published five short stories and is currently at work on a novel.

Born in Minnesota, Emily moved to Louisiana in 1999. She has master's degrees in philosophy and library science. Besides writing, she enjoys playing bass guitar in a local swamp punk band, cooking with lots of butter, and taking care of her eight-month old son, husband, two cats, and dog.
